Join us for Pages & Peace: Writing for Renewal, a reflective writing session hosted by The Write Place. This event invites participants to slow down, reflect, and explore the theme of renewal through guided journaling and creative prompts.
Participants will have the opportunity to write, relax, and connect with others while exploring ideas related to personal growth, renewal, and reflection.
This event is open to students of all majors and provides a calm space to recharge, think creatively, and reconnect with the power of writing.

Join us for the CEHBS Women’s Panel Discussion, a special event hosted by The Write Place in collaboration with the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavioral Sciences. This panel celebrates Women’s History Month by highlighting the voices and experiences of women scholars and professionals across the college.
This all-women panel brings together faculty and leaders who will share insights about their academic journeys, professional experiences, and the role that communication and writing play in their fields. Participants will have the opportunity to listen, reflect, and engage in discussion about empowerment, scholarship, and the impact of women’s voices in academia and beyond.
Open to students of all majors, this event encourages meaningful conversation about leadership, mentorship, and the continued influence of women shaping education, humanities, and behavioral sciences.

March 25th APA Writer's Series: Polishing the Research Paper

Join us for Douglass Day, hosted by The Write Place, honoring the life and legacy of Frederick Douglass. This event celebrates the power of literacy, history, and community engagement through collective learning and participation.
Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to a national effort dedicated to preserving and exploring Black history through transcription and discussion of historical materials connected to Douglass and the broader abolitionist movement.
This event is open to students, faculty, and staff and highlights how writing, historical documents, and community collaboration help preserve important stories from the past.

Join us for Words of a Lover, a creative writing experience hosted by The Write Place. This event invites participants to explore expressions of love through poetry, letters, and reflective writing.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with writing prompts that encourage them to reflect on love in its many forms—romantic, platonic, self-love, and appreciation for community. Whether you enjoy poetry or simply want to experiment with creative expression, this session offers a welcoming space to write and share ideas.
This event is open to students of all majors and celebrates the power of language to express emotion, connection, and humanity.
