University Business and Government Cluster

The University Industry and Government Cluster serves to promote dialogue between business, government and the University to help identify, develop, and implement programs that ultimately ensure students are best prepared to transition from academia to the workforce. This partnership between education and industry at Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø helps to improve professional development for the students which, in turn, increases the quality of graduates.

Benefits to Cluster Membership

  • Direct access to University leadership: Cluster members have streamlined access to the President, Deans, and student leaders—without unnecessary barriers or prolonged processes.
  • Opportunities to support Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø research: Members can partner with the University to support and help facilitate research initiatives conducted at Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø.
  • Stronger talent outcomes and retention: Employee retention can improve as Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø alumni within cluster organizations are often more invested in mentoring and supporting the success of new hires.

Cluster Composition

  • Academia, industry, government, Career Development Services and students
  • Terms typically limited to 2-3 years however, some maybe longer
