General, Alum Provides Campus Tour to Boeing

Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø a "Key HBCU"
Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø alumnus and retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Patrick W. Burden and his Boeing colleagues toured the Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences on Thursday, July 15.
Burden, a two-star general who retired last year, now works in Global Sales and Marketing at Boeing.
Burden’s Boeing guests included Tommy Preston, Jr., the director of National Strategy & Engagement and Government Operations at Boeing. Preston, who is based in South Carolina, stated Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø has been important to Boeing and a key HBCU it hopes to continue new partnerships with in the future.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø also presented Burden with the STEM Day Award for his ongoing leadership and support of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø students and for serving as the keynote speaker during Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹Ù꿉۪s Annual STEM Day in March.
